Conducted tours throughout the Fall 2025 semester as a Student Ambassador.
It was an amazing experience to be able to volunteer and connect at the American Heart Association Heart Ball. The association is dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke by advancing and advocating the science and research for prevention and cure, so it was an honor to contribute to the community by volunteering. I checked-in and checked-out attendees and recorded the bidders and payments. Time passed by so quickly, and I definitely would love to do this again!
Although it was interesting to communicate online only with fellow copywriters and the editors, it was nice that every assignment is versatile, and the two-week deadlines were a good amount of time. I found it hard trying to find and research on people to interview, but once I emailed and interviewed, everything was fine. I had fun writing my copies (even if they were long) because the quotes I gathered from the interviewees were so interesting and so distinct. Being a copywriter made me get out of my comfort zone because I met people and gathered some of my favorite interviews. Whenever I'm stuck with writing or have questions, the copy editor is really easily accessible and is really nice. It was a transition from high school yearbook club to a college yearbook group, so I was worried and nervous because I didn't know how the yearbook group in college would be like. Everything turned out to be a fun and great experience. After this fall semester, Razorback Yearbook made me want to definitely return as a copywriter for the spring semester.
