I enjoyed completing this transcription project and appreciated the chance to work with historical material. It was interesting to slow down and carefully preserve something that might otherwise be hard for others to read. I’d be happy to help with more projects like this in the future.
Through this service experience, I gained a deeper appreciation for the impact of the Women’s Rights era and the importance of preserving history. Transcribing the newspapers gave me insight into how women’s voices were represented and how advocacy was communicated at the time. It was meaningful to contribute to a project that helps make historical materials more accessible and ensures that the stories of those who fought for equality continue to be remembered.
I love that the hope center gives those with rough home lives or unconventional backgrounds, a chance to better their life and gain purpose! I got to meet employees who take their job very seriously, which was truly inspiring. I loved this experience!
