I spent my spring break on a mission trip with 13 other Alpha Chis. We were able to bring filters for the families that will provide them with clean drinking water for 10 years. We also brought the gift of the gospel and saw many lives change throughout the week.
I was a sober monitor for the moms day function. I had first shift from 8:00-9:30
This was a fun way to give back to our elderly community. So fun to write them a valentines day card to read and hopefully smile at. I work at a nursing home and they smile so big when the receive a sweet note or visitors.
I bought 10 childrens books for the book drive. Excited to see them put to good use.
Volunteered (2 Hours) with providing a swab at Chapter and allowing them to contact me when someone needs help :)
My roommates and I found a stray dog near our house. We took him (Charlie) to the vet and he wasn't chipped so we technically owned him until the shelters were open or until we found his family (apparently a law in Arkansas). We ended up keeping him at our house from 11-3ish but found his owner who posted her dog went missing in Rogers. We got him back home safely but we played with him, gave him a bath and fed him some cheerios while he was with us.
Such a random picture of me and my leftovers but my DEI event was going to Sabor Guacamole Mexican Restaurant! Very delicious spot to take my family when they were in town. My mom has the receipt :)
