Today I completed my hours of service learning, today I assisted in packing boxes of groceries for 534 senior citizens. I felt really accomplished packing these boxes and I enjoyed my time volunteering.

I learnt a lot about the food donation process and the do's and don'ts when donating food. I learnt that food items without labels should not be donated, seeing as the nutritional facts are not listed and hence they will then be treated as trash. I also learnt that candy should not be donated because of its lack of nutritional benefits.
