It was awesome to go back and see all the plants I planted freshman year! I worked on some of the plant beds to remove weeks and o got to meet some pretty cool people!

I helped the Watershed Conservation Resource Center replant native plants into larger pots. Once they get bigger, many of the plants will be taken to banks of rivers and water restoration projects. I always love going and getting dirt on my hands, but the people you get to meet and talk to are really awesome, too. I even got a tour of the land and heard a vision of what they are planning to do in the future. I loved volunteering here!

I loved getting to learn about what WCRC is doing and helping out! I got to work with River Aldridge, Switchgrass, and Gamma Grass. I enjoyed getting my hands dirty and spending time outside.

I had so much fun volunteering and meeting new people at the green roof.

I enjoyed getting to learn more about the native plants of Arkansas along with seeing that the plants germinated.

At the clinic, I got to learn how to remove and clean an endotracheal tube from a dog's mouth. I continued to help move the animals and monitor them after surgery. I also helped clean Dr. Henley's surgical tubes and observed how to wrap a pack to be sterilized. I did some laundry while i was there and learned how to clean up after surgery.

I worked at the veterinary clinic at the Fayetteville animal shelter. Dr Henley showed me around the clinic and explained how it operated. She also showed me the veterinarian drug log and how to enter and keep track of medicine used. I observed the job of the vet technician while she explained everything she was doing. I got to help the animals recover from surgery and put them back in their cages when they were ready to be moved.

I had a great time playing with kitten Pidge and getting her used to being around people. We played with cat toys, and I let her run around on her own some too. I am happy that the time I spent with her is helping her become prepared to be adopted.

I had such a wonderful time at tri cycle farms . It was so beautiful and I enjoyed getting to know the workers at the farm and a tour of the garden. I will warn you though, from 5-7 pm is peak mosquito activity and if you are allergic then you definitely need to pick a different time to go. The people that work there are very passionate about what they do and very friendly!
