I was able to volunteer at Rise Up Farm on a harvest day which was awesome to experience. Being able to work with a community run organic garden was a great experience. One thing I love about this experience was learning how to harvest different vegetables, clean them, bundle them, and package them in evenly weighed bags to be set to distribute to the community within the week. The staff was very helpful and answered all questions allowing me to get a better understanding of the processes taken for our organic food to reach our plates at home.
