My family had a mutual friend in the community whose grandmother's house exterior needed painting, so my mother and I volunteered to help over Christmas break! We were able to go out there for a little over eight hours throughout eight days and were able to get one of the sides done just in time for Christmas!
I always enjoy helping out here! Organizing, restocking, and fulfilling orders is super easy and a nice way to give back to the UAB community!
I was able to help Ms. Ann with her Black Friday Camp at her pre-school and take care of children age 2-4! I was able to do crafts with them and keep them interested while she was doing more of the planning and organizing. I enjoyed doing this because it is actually where I went to pre-school!
I absolutely loved Mitchel's place! I loved putting on a Fall Festival for the children and making it fun for them! All the kids (and parents) were so sweet and appreciative of us coming over and helping! 100% would do this again.
Tabling for Sharing Xi Love Week!! I was able to be with my sisters and attempt to make money for our philanthropy the Kindly Hearts Initiative!
I had a very good time connecting with the staff members and packing up orders for our community. I would say I enjoyed it !
From organizing in the morning to packing orders in the afternoon was a great opportunity for me to get introfuced to blazer kitchen! I was able to repackage a lot of their smaller things like spices and help refill frozen food items during the busy hours
Our group was able to re-stock the whole pantry room in around 2 hours. The change we made in the room was extremely visible and it looks great!!
