Deanna Grant

I was a part of a group that helped to transcribe over 100 documents from female Harvard astronauts including Williamina Fleming, Annie Jump Cannon, Henrietta Swan Leavitt, and many others.

I was able to participate by helping to transcribe documents that entailed criminal records of Australian prisoners from the 1850s to the 1940s.

I was on of the student small businesses that was in the showcase. I’m very happy that I was able to share my craft with others.

I volunteered doing a bird watch where I was able to observe different bird behaviours and how they are affected by the environment and other beings.

I was able to help the biology department at Zooniverse to identify different patterns in the lymph nodes.

I volunteered with zooniverse. I was able to help with marine research and identification of kelp in the ocean.

I am happy that I will be able to help other incoming students have a better experience.
