This semester has been marked with times with my highschoolers and getting to walk through life with them. With weekly club meetings, Bible studies, and getting to support them in their extracurriculars is a gift! I am challenged by them and I love watching them continue to grow as individuals and in their walks with the Lord.
Pi phi 5k !!!! Josie killed it and it was so fun to cheer on the runners/walkers.
This semester with YoungLife at Har-ber has been so impactful and encouraging. There have been a consistent group of interest within the school that is really excited about YoungLife. We have started having weekly bible studies or campaigners that have increased the time spent with kids and development of relational equity with a smaller group of students. We have monthly hangouts that have created exciting environments to allow students to invite their friends and take some ownership. Our team take donuts to the campus every Thursday morning and passes them out to students and create an inviting atmosphere within their campus. I have also been able to make deeper individual relationships and met with students individually or within a smaller group, or attending a school event to support them as well.
As a younglife leader for highschoolers at Har-Ber Highschool, I have gotten the opportunity to be engaged at the Har-Ber campus through some basketball and soccer games, bringing donuts weekly, having clubs/hangouts. My favorite part has been getting to develop relationships through these interactions and getting to see that consistency become real relationship and friendship. My friends Molly and Addy randomly showed up to a club and now we hang out almost every week!
I have been serving within the college ministry on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays as an intern and on leadership team. We have weekly meetings as interns, monthly meetings as leadership, and set up or take down college ministry events on Monday nights and Sundays. This has been so life-giving!!
This semester I have gotten to serve with YoungLife to create relationships with high schoolers at Har-Ber High School. We have gotten to do this by going to sporting events, tailgates, bringing donuts every Thursday morning, individual group hangouts, and hosting YoungLife club. This is such a tangible way to get to partner with the Lord in presenting the gospel in a simple relationship! There is also a lot of prayer, planning, and preparation that goes into this ministry that has been the heartbeat of it all. We have gotten to see the Lord answer prayers tangibly and we are so thankful!!
Those working were so kind, helpful, and encouraging. The heart of the operation is evident in those working.
