We explored compound interest and credit scores, emphasizing the importance of making on-time monthly payments as the most significant factor in maintaining good credit. We also touched on checking credit reports regularly and clarified that doing so doesn't harm your credit score. This knowledge helps us to manage our financial futures more effectively.

The presentation covered scholarship program requirements, including the shift to 15 service hours per semester from the previous 10, with two mandatory scholarship nights contributing around three to four hours. Emphasis was placed on accumulating a total of 15 actual hours through various activities fostering personal and professional growth, excluding paid experiences. The goal is to assist students in aligning these experiences with their academic, transfer, career, and personal goals for comprehensive development.

The workshop was very interactive and informative, they informed us about the essentials of a resume and how the process of applying for a job with our resume goes. The format for our resume and the information that should be on there will not guarantee we get the job we apply for as there are other people with whom we are competing, regardless the experience will help better our resume-building skills.
