Hello! So I had asked one of the organizers about which email to use for verification of hours. Unfortunately they told me they didn't coordinate with the Promise Scholarship team about confirmation of attendance. However, I can tell you a bit about the play. It was a small town play on Grover in NJ. There were three acts, Act 1: Daily Life, Act 2: Love and Marriage, Act 3: (I don't remember the name of this act but it revolved around death and memory).
It was mainly about the son and daughter of the Gibbs and Ware, how the two of them grew up alongside each other, eventually got married, and the daughter eventually passing due to childbirth :C
I didn't like the ending very much.

Okay! For this one, I went with my friend Victoria who got me a ticket because I learned then and there (I came around the 7:20 pm mark) that even if you register on Givepulse the Ticketmaster wouldn't have known to reserve my ticket. So by the time I arrived they were sold out. I was lucky to have my friend.
This was my first experience with watching the college's plays, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Since this was my first time, I couldn't really grasp what was being said. Which wasn't the fault of the characters or script, I might have been tired that night.
But the seats were very uncomfortable, and the intermission only started around Act 2 rather than Act 1 like I expected. I wanted to get up to use the bathroom so badly and my friend's leg was falling asleep.
But midway through Act 2 I got a general gist of the life of the Gibbs and Wares. The Gibb's son eventually falls for the Ware's daughter. The former comes from a family where the Father is a doctor. The latter comes from a family where the father is the Editor of the local paper.
Gibb's son wanted to become a farmer, while the Ware's daughter wished to make speeches for the rest of her life since she enjoyed them so much.
The Gibb's son secretly desired to make a name for himself in baseball, and eventually, he does but gives it all up at the peak of his career to settle down with the Ware's daughter.
So for this session I remember that we got to listen to the candidates for SGA. There was one student who was doing Health Science Academy and also attending PGCC who sounded very confident and sure of herself. I wanted to vote for her specifically since I liked her message a lot.
For this one I remember the presenter was a male who wanted to encourage us to use the school's financial empowerment center. :D
I'll be honest, I forgot to submit this in a timely manner. I did remember our presenter being female though and very enthusiastic about her job.
Attended a Mandatory Academic recovery session and was informed what to do to remain in good standing with the program for this semester for my particular situation. (sending this early before I forget since I stepped out of my class for this meeting
We reviewed the expectations set for being a promise scholar.
Had dominos n studied with the girls
WOW Mandatory retreat! :DD Got to listen to the girlies talk about their experiences as WOW ambassadors and how it helped them. The personal verifier is: WOW@pgcc.edu :))
It was a nice re-fresher for me, being a returning recipient. I did learn though that this will be the last semester that will accept hours for church events and such. The scholarship coordinators wish for us to cultivate a community of our own here. That makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
