Gerrymandering is the manipulation of voting district boundaries to favor one political party or group, often at the expense of fair representation. It undermines democracy by letting politicians choose their voters instead of voters choosing their representatives.

I felt energized by the way the community came together across different groups and backgrounds to stand up for immigrant rights and democratic values. Being part of both the protest and the voter engagement effort showed me how grassroots activism can link public demonstration with tangible political action.
