My group volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas at their ReStore. From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., we helped assemble and build new light fixtures to refresh the store’s lighting display. It was rewarding to know that our work would help make the ReStore more inviting for customers while supporting Habitat’s mission to provide affordable housing in the community. The experience was hands-on, collaborative, and a great reminder of how even small tasks can contribute to a larger cause.

I volunteered at the Honors College Fellowship Interview Day, assisting with check-in and engaging with visitors during the info fair at the Arkansas Union. I welcomed prospective students and their families, answered questions about the Honors College experience, and helped guide them through the event. It was a great opportunity to share insights about my Honors College experiences while making visitors feel comfortable and informed.
Assisted in the organization and preparation of clothing donations by tagging, hanging, and steaming garments to ensure they were ready for distribution.
I provided direction support to participants of the National Society for Minorities in Honors Conference by guiding them to different areas on campus and greeting them with a friendly face.
I had a great time helping at Convocation on Monday. I assisted at the Hotz Open House by directing prospective honors students and their families throughout the different areas of Hotz and was able to answer any questions they had about Hotz, the Honors Program, and even just advice about college. It was cool to help with this event because I was in their shoes once on a tour and it can be overwhelming, but I wanted to be as friendly and helpful as possible.
