I am an environmental educator specializing in the interface of human society and the natural world as well as South Florida ecology. I am currently serving as collegewide Director of Earth Ethics Institute at Miami Dade College, where we do environmental education/Earth Literacy programming for students, facilitate sustainability-related professional development workshops for faculty, oversee the Global Sustainability and Earth Literacy Studies (GSELS) learning network, and more.

As Director of Earth Ethics Institute, I also sit on our national advisory board, regularly report to the board, and assist in overseeing the administration of our endowment.

    11th Annual Sea Level Solutions Day

    Professor Reyes, a student volunteer, and I tested king tide floodwaters in the mangroves at Morningside Park. The surrounding vegetation suggests that flooding is a regular occurrence there. It was rewarding to contribute to citizen science alongside the FIU team.
