Ewaoluwa Adewale

As a PAL (Peer Academic Leader) at Raising Expectations, I support underserved youth by providing mentorship, tutoring, and encouragement to help them reach their academic and personal goals. I contributed to creating a nurturing environment that emphasized high expectations, individualized learning, and holistic development, ensuring students felt empowered to pursue higher education and broader opportunities.

I enjoyed this experience because I was able to connect with various mental health organizations across the metro Atlanta area, and was also able to teach about the mission of Happy Mama Happy Mini Inc.

My second Monday at Raising Expectations. This day, I feel that I had more meaningful conversations with the High School students.

This opportunity gave me a chance to educate young students about various STEM activities to diversify their interactive experiences.

This was my first day at Raising Expectations; I genuinely enjoyed assisting students and connecting with them.

This experience was a less academic environment that allowed me to connect with the students with a more social, big sister-type approach.
