I am the community service chair for NSLS and today we sorted and bagged food for the Out of the Garden project wear house!
I am the Community Service chair for the National Society of Leadership and Success and today we partnered with the East White Oak Community Center. At the community center we made posters to go in the garden that is used to grow food to help with the decrease of food insecurity. We also worked in the pantry and sorted the canned goods that will be distributed throughout Greensboro!
I donated books for children in need! This was a great way to help the lives of young children. Starting to read young is very fundamental for a young child's life!
We made bags of dry goods and cereal and other non-perishable foods for children middle school and elementary school aged.
On February 13, 2022 I volunteered for the operation backpack warehouse packing and sorting. I made bags filled with canned goods such as dry cereal, pasta, beans, corn, diced tomatoes, and other foods for children middle school aged and elementary school aged for Greensboro local middle, and elementary schools. I had so much fun working with other alpha lambda delta members and getting to meet other people from Greensboro. I also worked with the program coordinator, Ms. Kristy Milholin, who facilitates the operation backpack warehouse and she was so nice.
I am the Community Service for the national Society of Leadership and Success. I hosted and participated in this event. I created 10 cards with my E-board and 5 more cards at the “Spreading Love” event I hosted on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University. I also distributed the cards to the Sunrise Senior Living Home to Senior residents on Monday February 14th, 2022 from 12:00pm -1:30pm. I truly enjoyed facilitating this event and participating and meeting new faces on campus and within my honors society organization the NSLS.
