Lyric Armstrong

It always feels great to make cards for those who need them the most. This event was put together very well and turned out great. Students were able to mingle while also serving their community.

This past October, I volunteered at the University's farm. Although I am on the farm often due to research, this time I helped to harvest sweet potatoes. One thing that I learned from this experience is that many people are not aware of the available produce and meat on campus. Since volunteering, I have been trying to convince my peers to volunteer on the farm and inform others that they can even take some of the fresh meat and produce home.

I had a great experience. The staff was nice and the directions given were very straight forward. I enjoyed all interactions with the horses!
