great time at the cooperative emergency outreach!
Great time working at the Cooperative Emergency Outreach!
On September 30th, I volunteered with the Cooperative Emergency Outreach, serving as an interviewer to assist community members in accessing the resources they needed. I helped connect individuals to vital services, including gas and clothing stipends, as well as assistance with electric and water bills. This experience enhanced my ability to assess needs and provide timely support, reinforcing the importance of connecting people with the resources necessary to navigate challenging circumstances.
On September 23rd, I volunteered with the Cooperative Emergency Outreach as an interviewer, working directly with community members to assess their needs and connect them to essential resources. I helped individuals access gas and clothing stipends, as well as provided assistance with their electric and water bills. This experience deepened my understanding of how important it is to link people to the support they need during difficult times and furthered my skills in resource coordination and client communication.
On September 16th, I volunteered with the Cooperative Emergency Outreach, helping out with the food pantry to ensure families had access to essential food items. In addition, I shadowed an interviewer to get more comfortable with the process and receive a refresher on interacting with clients. This hands-on experience helped me gain further confidence in my role while allowing me to better serve the community.
Initial visit. I have volunteered here before so I met with the staff and got introduced to some new volunteers here! It was a quick visit. We talked about a schedule and what my role as an interviewer would be. It was nice to be back!
