I completed sessions 2, 3, and 4. It took me one hour and a half to complete all three video recordings. I rewrote my script for each session which took three hours in total. I have attached my scripts. I enjoyed the creating the script with what you provided via email; however, I did not think the videos lasted as long as they should have.

Lisa Ali  3 years ago I recorded these hours in bulk because I was sick and did not complete my videos on time the previous weeks. I completed all three video sessions today, along with the scripts.

I assisted Madison Simpson with her virtual service-learning hours. I sent her the video sessions and explained the logistics of what is expected and the other tasks she may complete aside from the video sessions. I enjoyed helping another classmate who was excited and driven about the virtual experience. The most challenging part of this assignment was finding a day we both could contact each other to talk about the expectations of the volunteering. My key takeaway from this day is interacting and making a new friend/contact!

I completed 130 affirmation cards within four hours. I have emailed Ms. Weaver with the confirmation. I am awaiting her response to see when we are able to meet in order for her to retrieve the affirmation cards I have completed.

I volunteered from 1-7. It was a great experience speaking with Lisa, the social worker at UAB Kitchen. I learned a lot about her background in social work and the changes UAB is working towards for people with their BSW who are wanting to work in a clinical setting. Also, I learned about Grace’s extensive background as well. I believe they all fit for UAB kitchen and have a lot of knowledge to offer! Furthermore, the only challenging part of Blazer Kitchen was the surge in students, faculty, and referred patients who needed to shop last minute. It was fast paced and it required volunteers to pack unexpected bags for the shoppers. Overall, my key takeaway would be interacting with others and learning about who UAB partners with to be able to serve their community.
