The thing I like most about this experience is being able to be a helping hand to those who need me to be helpful to them. Another thing would be to help decorate the windows outside of the building. The most challenging part would be seeing that someone wants more food but can only give them a certain amount because if everyone was given everything, they want it would not allow others to receive the items they need. The key takeaway would be to always try to a helping hand, do not judge, and do what you can.
Some things I like most about this experience were being able to feel like a real social worker because helping those kids who needed me the most was very important to me because all it takes is a little bit of kindness and that could make whatever they are going through at home a little bit better because they knew I was there for them. The most challenging issues was would they be okay when they go home or go back around what is bothering them that weighted heavy on my heart because I wanted them to be happy and just be able to be sweet kids. The key takeaway was just be kind no matter who it is because some people do not go home to kindness and sometimes school is the only place they feel safe at.
