On this day, I brought my camera and photography equipment to McCoy to take photos of clients and staff who wished to be included in the photo shoot so that I could make them personalized Christmas cards.

Myself and other volunteer SW students planned the fall party for this day together to give the ladies and gentlemen a day with food, games, and fun. We all had a blast planning and implementing the event. From the smiles and laughter of everyone attending, I believe we succeeded in our mission of fun! I helped serve the clients and the staff apple cider, coffee juice, cookies, and croissants. After the food, the planned bingo game began. I helped a few ladies with their bingo chips, and the other girls called out numbers, gave out prizes, and helped others with their game. I had a nice chat with one lady who had been very quiet before, but she talked about her childhood and her family during the party, which was my favorite moment of the day. I also did some face painting and participated in the exercise circle.
I arrived earlier than usual because I had a class canceled and decided to go and talk to everyone at McCoy about an event I am hosting to take photos for Christmas cards to send to family and friends. I discovered that lunchtime is not the best time to drop by with questions. I sat and talked to several people while others finished their lunch. My concern is understanding that having your photo taken is voluntary and that I will make cards with an individual's name and Christmas designs only if they prefer. So, after discussing this with everyone, I made a flyer for the event explaining the service I am offering and the date and time I will be taking the pictures. Because I have a design talent and have photography equipment, I feel this is a way to give others my time and use my skill to give them something they can enjoy giving as a gift or a keepsake.
I helped set up a pizza party and serve drinks and food to everyone. We had a good time!
This day, I brought in supplies for the upcoming Fall Festival we are planning. I set up a decorative arrangement, colored a ladybug with a sweet and quiet lady,(we did talk together after I sat next to her for a while and engaged in conversation about driving, singing, and being cold), and laughed about crossword and word search puzzles with two other ladies. One thing everyone seems to enjoy doing together is listening to music and playing Bingo. I hope to make it in time to participate in the exercise group next time.
