This event is called Adopt-a-school. It is where members of the Longhorn Band go and play with a smaller high school band. We play alongside them in the stands and cheer them on during their halftime show. It is really awesome to see how much fun the kids are having and how appreciative they are that we are there.

At this event I would take the runners items and place them in a bag before the race started. During the race I organized the bags in numerical order. At the end of the race the runners would come to pick up their bag and I would give it to them and congratulate them on a job well done. It was so much fun to help out at the marathon.
At this event myself and other members of the Longhorn Band went to Rosedale school to play traditional Texas music to the students that attend that school. Rosedale is a great school that provides learning opportunities and care to students with special needs. This event was so rewarding. It is really awesome to see the impact that music can have on people!
At this event I helped members of Tau Beta Sigma prepare carnations for members of the band. Members of the band could buy one for someone and then I helped out with assembling the flowers with their respective tags. This was such and uplifting service event because I knew that I was going to make someones day better.
At this event I went with my sorority, Tau Beta Sigma, and we played our instruments with the Travis High School band at their football game. It was really fun to make music with them and support them during their halftime show! I really enjoyed this event and seeing how happy the students were that we were there made it worth while!
At this event I played with some other members of Longhorn band for tailgaters. The purpose of this event is to provide musical entertainment for the loyal Texas fans that are tailgating. This event is so much fun and very rewarding. Seeing their faces light up and get so excited make the experience worth while.
At this event I went with my sorority, Tau Beta Sigma, to help students in the band at Eastside High school. Going to the event was so much fun. We helped the students with their music and got to play our instruments with them. Seeing how much they improved and the smiles are their faces was so rewarding.

At this event I helped fill water cups and handed them to runners as they were passing the water station. I really enjoyed helping at this event.
