Our group drove out to Burnet where we have a lodge. We helped to build our new gym. We put in the framing for the building as well as the electrical outlets and panels. We put in studs on the walls and the HVACs in their right place.

HackTX was an amazing experience! It was amazing seeing all of the Hackers come from all over to come to UT and join this 24 hour marathon. I was assigned a lot of responsibilities and it made me feel like an organizer, even though I was only a volunteer. I only signed up for 6 hours, but ended up staying longer and coming the next day to help clean up because I enjoyed volunteering with them so much!

Today we made holiday cards for the 187th regiment. It was nice to give them a little holiday cheer as they give us so much; our freedom, our liberty, our lives. It is something near and dear to my heart as I have had family members in the military as well and know how much they appreciate cards and letters.
For our ULN community service project, we decided to bring a little joy to the college students as finals come up. We went out to HEB and bought bags of candy. Then we all got together and made inspirational cards and handed the candy and cards out as students walked by.
Went out to the Living Center and took my resident to Mass today. She had just woken up from her nap so she was a little bit sleepy. It was cold outside so I had to bundle her up and then make sure she didn't overheat once we were inside. It was hard to keep her awake today, but she was still happy as usual.
Went out to the Austin State Supported Living Center and brought my woman to mass today. She was very quiet and I noticed that the only time she became loud was when they were singing. I learned that she liked to sing along with them! It was also becoming a bit chilly so I learned how to dress her and make sure that she wasn't too heated indoors because she was hyperthermic.
Today I was assigned a woman to work with the whole year. She was VERY cute and always smiled. However, she was always loud during mass so I had to learn a few techniques to keep her calm and quiet.
Today was our first day out at the Austin State Supported Living Center. I met a wonderful women and took her to Mass. I learned how to deal with her different needs and made sure she was awake and happy during the service. It made me feel good to be helping her and seeing all the other residents who we were helping that were happy that they were able to go to church.
Training to go to the Austin State Supported Living Center and work with the residents. We watched a video and visited the establishment and met the different residents that we'd be working with. We learned what to do when taking them away and bringing them back and learned how to meet the different needs of each unique resident.
