Sigma Delta Lambda has an annual Day of Service. This year my chapter volunteered at the St. Jude's Ranch. We helped clean the empty cabins and outdoor facilities so that new incomers can have a safe and clean place to stay. St. Jude's Ranch is a caring facility for abused, abandoned and neglected children.

When I arrived at the site, the supplies had not yet arrived. That did not stop anyone from helping the members of the community who were hard at work before we arrived. I helped with their gardening. It's a nice feeling to help people who are evidently grateful for taking the time to improve their community and school.
