Made Christmas cards for end of year service activity

Through my Healthcare Systems Management course I, along with four other members of my class, was partnered with Brackenridge Hospital's Clinical Transformation Team this past semester to help assist them in the transitioning to the new Medical Center. Our duties included conducting time studies for new technology being implemented in the hospital as well as working out some of the kinks in the registration process for the patient portal. We worked with the team for two hours (individually) per week for the span of 8 weeks (we still have one more meeting left so in all it will be 9 weeks)

I really enjoyed going out and restoring the playgrounds at the various middle schools. I really think that the children and staff will enjoy their playground's new look!

I really enjoyed creating the bags for the homeless. It's crazy how such a simple gesture means the world to someone else.

Volunteered with Surewalk to provide a safe way home for students between the hours of 10pm and 2am. Walked students home from their various locations around campus.

Amory Krueger  11 years ago Hi Keimon, Sorry for the confusion about verifying impacts - the system is a little tricky. Someone from SureWalk will need to verify this impact, since they're the ones who know whether or not you came and volunteered. In the future, when creating a custom impact, you should use the second tab on the form ("Search for Group"), and type the name of the organization where you volunteered, then select that group. A verification request will then be auto-sent to the organizer of that group, and that should ensure that it goes to the right person! If you want the hours to still count towards UT Austin, ULN '19, or other groups that you belong to, you can share the impact with those groups under "Privacy and Sharing Settings."
