During this experience, I was able to volunteer with the V and E Greenline. While there, I raked leaves out of the street and put them into trash bags. Students spent time communicating and learning more about one another and the community. This volunteer experience was wonderful and a great way to get to know other people and the community.
During this experience, I went to Fuller Park where I completed community service. While at the park, I pulled grass and weeds from the area that the garden will be placed. This park is one of 3 parks that were built for African Americans. Therefore, this was a great experience to attend and I was able to give back to my community.
This was the second shift of my 2 impacts. I was able to end my volunteering season by assisting the Memphis homeless community in receiving everyday clothing needs. They were able to pick various outfits, shoes, underwear, and more!
On this day I completed the same experience under 2 impacts. This was the first shift, where I was able to assist the homeless community by talking with them, and helping them shop in the free clothing closet. The clothing closet is a free experience, filled with lots of donated items.
This experience was one that I love to do. We served the homeless community in Memphis by supplying them with clothing and shoes. This was a great experience and I will continue to volunteer here.
This experience occurred on the same day as the first impact. During this experience I was able to again provide clothing and accessories to the homeless community. While doing this they were given shirts , pants, underwear and everyday necessities.
This was an absolute amazing experience to do. During this opportunity, I was able to give back to the community by assisting the homeless in receiving donated clothing. They were able to pick shirts, shoes, and things to get them by everyday.
For this day, I volunteered for both the morning food outreach and also the afternoon clothing shopper volunteer!
