At the UT Conch Community Garden, I had the opportunity to help clean the garden up since they are renovating it before spring. I helped in taking our the grass in the garden, and taking out weed. This experience allowed me to learn about how useful the UT Concho Garden is to out community, and by volunteering I was able to contribute to that impact.
At the Capital Area Food Bank, I had the opportunity to serve a neighborhood in need by sorting and distributing donations. This was an eye opening experience that allowed me to see how just simple actions such as donating can go a long way for these families. I truly appreciated this volunteer opportunity because it taught me the importance of donating and volunteering.
