Summer of Service to Seniors- Support Team

Great event that had a lot of volunteers! I had the pleasue or being a Team Lead and supervising the the various steps in making a Jambalaya bag for AARP members. While supervising I was able to make packages with the volunteers as well as motivate through through the 13-step process. Shifts seemed to breeze by do to the amazing DJ they had hired and friendly staff that kept us motivated throughout our time at the event. I look forward to working with AARP again in the near future

    Red Cross Volunteer Opportunity

I absolutely loved this event. We made cards for veterans in 5 different branches of the military, firefighters, law enforcement, etc. A brief presentation was provided to outline the do's and don'ts of the cards. Coloring material and cards were provided, as well as water. To get the location and designated place was hassle free and it was well air-conditioned. I am looking forward to the next volunteer event!
