I easily signed myself up for the cleanup, but when I tried to sign up my husband, the system wouldn't let me add him, telling me that I had already signed up. I ended up not signing him up at all, but he did participate in the cleanup.
We had a pleasant experience picking up trash along the creek, but we were given regular kitchen trash bags, and the big lawn & Leaf bags would've been better. The bags held, but we were worried that they would fail, they were stretched pretty thin. Also, separate bags for recycling would've been helpful as well.

It was an easy way to give back to the community. I just wish that people didn't litter so much.

Maybe we need community education that it is not okay to litter cigarette butts and charcoal briquets. I picked up at least a hundred cigarette butts and five piles of half-burned briquets along the creek.
