Carpenter's House is not only a "work in progress," it is an amazing support system for the homeless in Memphis, Tennessee. It has become a vital source of hospitality and overnight shelter for people whose only home is the street. Working there to help prepare the facility for the 2017-18 season was both rewarding and humbling. We volunteers could only do just so much in our few hours of allotted time. We and others need to return to help the Room In The Inn leaders have everything ready this fall.
