During these volunteer hours I have driven back in forth from my home to the Children's Shelter in order to receive the paperwork necessary to volunteer, participate in an extensive tour throughout the facility, learn about the history, rules, and regulations of the agency, fill out paperwork, and turn the paperwork back in. Although this intense process has taken a lot of time and effort, I am very confident it will be worth it. I am very excited to continue the process of being a verified volunteer in order to offer my time to these children.

The process to volunteer at this amazing agency is extremely long and time-consuming. I understand why there is so much that goes into the process however, I wish that the steps were more organized and concise so the process was faster. During these hours I included my drive times, orientation, a tour of the shelter (parts that I was not familiar with), fingerprinting, and research pertaining to the agency.
