My second time volunteering, I enjoyed meeting peers while saving energy at our campus. The officers are very nice!

Graciously I enjoyed volunteering in Operation Care (Dallas) for my 4th year! As always I leave feeling happy and accomplished because children show their warm smile and gratitude when they receive gifts. The holidays, much like Christmas, are about giving which is a more notable feeling than receiving. Sometimes we need to stop thinking about ourselves and act selfless for the people who need love and help the most.
Having a community garden reinforces the mission of being an educational community resource. It was a nice touch that the volunteers were given the opportunity to take home some produce. The event coordinators were highly friendly, reliable and helpful.
This has to be one of my more memorable experiences because I stepped out of my comfort zone (as usual but never like this.) I met some people that were really passionate about their beliefs and made me realize that people should exercise their citizen rights. Alone, I went door to door praying that I did not get cursed at because I felt what I was doing was a bit annoying. What I was doing was getting data about their votes. Surprisingly, every person that opened their door to me was awfully nice and answered my questions without agitation. I enjoyed this event!
Volunteering for the organization gets me one step closer to reaching my dream! I love music which is why I joined this group. The set up was nice, and people received free food and a live concert! I like that E+E is branched into different groups. They all have one description: for the students, by the students.
This sustainability effort was awesome because I had the opportunity to do service hours at my own school while making new friends. I am looking forward to volunteer in future events! Other than that, the pizza served was yummy and the officers were nice and approachable.
I enjoyed meeting and helping the fifth graders, Ja'dora and Cameron, on their homework. They were nice kids that were appreciative when the work was done. I am definitely coming back because they show high enthusiasm about school.
