During my volunteer experience at the CAFB Urban Demonstration Garden, I helped harvest fresh chilies, clean the greenhouse, and clear and maintain the trees around the garden. These activities helped keep the garden clean and organized while supporting its purpose of growing fresh produce for the community. This experience also strengthened my understanding of the importance of teamwork and maintaining a healthy environment for growing nutritious food.
During my volunteer experience at the CAFB Urban Demonstration Garden, I helped prepare garden beds for planting, harvested fruits, vegetables, and peanuts, and assisted with cleaning and maintaining the garden. Through these activities, I contributed to the growth and distribution of fresh produce for the community. This experience helped me understand the importance of community service, teamwork, and providing access to nutritious food.
My experience at the food bank was meaningful and enjoyable. When we arrived, there were many people volunteering, and everyone was friendly and helpful. This time, we worked together to pack different food items into plastic bags for homeless people in need. Everyone helped each other to pack the food efficiently. Music was playing throughout the process, which made the environment fun and energetic. I enjoyed working with the other volunteers because we supported each other and worked as a team to help people in need.
My experience at the food bank was short but meaningful. When we arrived, the staff were very welcoming, and everyone was nice and helpful. First, we took the food packages and sorted the different food items. Then, we organized the food and selected different items to put together in each box. We carefully packed the food boxes that would be given to elderly people in need. During the whole process, all the volunteers worked together as a team and helped each other to finish the work. I enjoyed working with everyone because the environment was friendly and supportive.
