This event was not what I expected. It was a lot more relaxing than I expected. I got to talk with some people and even a couple of friends that I haven't seen in a while. Plus the food was reallyy delicious.
Super fun event, everyone was so cheerful and friendly especially around karaoke. We got some great singers. My favorite was this girl showed in the photo singing the barbie song. I liked how most of the students were very confident and silly.
I attended the Student Art League meeting on Thursday and we drew from a still life's which I chose a pear. It was nice, I spoke to a few students and got to socialize with my friends.
I attended the SGA Town Hall meeting and learned about the flock camera's on campus along with how to start a club. The flock camera's are used for investigations on campus and to start a club you would need an advisor and four students.
I attended the Chess, Not Checkers Exhibition by the Student Art League. It's been a mintue since I've been in a gallery it was nice to see so many beautiful and meaningful pieces. The piece shown in the photo was by far one of my favorite pieces, the illusion of eyes and the little mark making details were very cool.
This was my first Mini Session and it gave me a lot of useful information on how to use Give Pulse properly. Some of the things I learned includes how to merge two existing accounts and how to cancel my registration for an event.
I attended the Career Literacy: Creating a Blueprint for Success workshop through Path Wise. The Ikigai Exercise given by Ms. Deborah gave me more insight into how I wanted to proceed with my career by asking questions such as "what the world needs" and "what I'm good at".
I went to support the woman's soccer team and they did AMAZINGG. It was a tie but at the last couple mins they scored and won. I learned to never give up even when it looks like you've lost and to always strive for more.
Promise Scholarship LAUNCH! Orientation(August 28). At this launch, I learned how to properly use Give Pulse for example, when the time is less than an hour, we should use .25 for every 15-minute increment. Along with all the requirements to keep my scholarships.
