Rin Santos

The New Student Convocation Ceremony was a nice event that brought me to see and talk to different people. Everyone was respectful while also being taught that we shouldn't shy away from one another, that we should really reach out and talk/help one another. Overall, these events further build a community.

At this event, I've learned that the scholarship comes with many responsibilities and is a "last dollar" scholarship that will fund you for 2 years. Throughout this event, they strongly encouraged scholars to speak up about what they need/what they're having issues with as well as to use their resources so they don't lose this. In conclusion, It's a scholarship that is easy to lose but reaps high rewards when handled correctly.
