My experience was very positive and gave me the opportunity to work with a great group of people while giving back to the community. Painting the walls and helping clean and organize the outdoor space showed me how much can be accomplished when people work together toward a common goal. It was rewarding to see the progress we made and know that our work helped create a better environment for the people the shelter serves.
