Sunday Night Session

Still my favorite community service

Had the opportunity to provide prison inmates with books that they requested. I worked with my ULN friend searching the libraries to find certain books that the inmates requested in their letters. Overall, very awesome and would definitely do it again!

It was great to serve people who really have no other contact

I had so much fun looking for the books that the inmates requested. It made me feel happy that I got to help someone who is probably going through a difficult time. Reading the inmates letters and getting to know some of their stories was very touching. I would definitely recommend this to everybody because it was fun and you are helping other people who need someone.

Picked out and sorted books to be given to inmates at different Texas prisons.

I volunteered for Inside Books, and I read letters from many inmates from various prisons, reviewed their book requests, and prepared packages with a personal letter written to them inside. It was great, like nothing I've done before, I will need to volunteer here again!
