Lady Brion’s entire character is very eloquent. Her three poems made me think deeper about the current social climate, at the end the audience got a chance to ask question about her writing and purpose. I learned so much about what it means to be so passionate about your craft and how to master it. Seeing everyone be inspired made me feel inspired.
I joined the Martin Luther king tribute on zoom. The guest speaker Lady Brion shared a few of her poems . She encouraged dialogue from the audience whether it was a question or a comment. I really enjoyed her powerful spoken words!
This was a great experience by Lady Brion. For some reason I always kept resonating with one of her first poems on the lines regarding MLK being represented on school buildings, but the school does not follow or education further on MLK teachings. I feel like this has happened a lot where a figure is just to be seen visually but not to be represented further.
It was extremely impactful to learn about such a significant figure in our history especially during these times.
