The event give me a clear understanding on how to be mindful and demure when dealing with social media. Because everything that post on the internet can be used against or benefit you.
This mini session on social media presence was very informative. It highlighted how important it is to be mindful of what we post and share online, as our digital footprint can impact future employment opportunities. I realized that even casual posts or personal opinions can be interpreted by potential employers and may affect their perception of me. This session reminded me to be intentional about how I present myself online and to ensure that my social media profiles reflect the professional image I want to convey.
I already knew that my social media profile could affect my job opportunities. But I learned how to properly set up a professional profile on LinkedIn, so that it's easier for employers to find me.
