Room in the Inn: Serving with a Smile LUNCH

This experience has influenced my future goals because I made me realize I would like to get out and serve my community more.

I learned that there is a community in Memphis that is dedicated to helping people get back on their feet and give back to their community.

I worked in group of 4 people. One that creates the plates, one that manages, and another girl and I brought the plates out. This impacted my experience because it showed me what it was like to work with a team of people who had a common goal in mind.

The service contributed to the mission of the organization because we helped feed the homeless which is a big part of their mission

the service aligned with my personal beliefs because doing this type of work was something I have been interested in since I was a little girl and it was nice to finally follow through with my goals.

I truly enjoyed this experience. Ms. Reva in the kitchen explained to us about the program and the genuine care she exhibited for the residents in the serving process was very touching. I will definitely come back and volunteer again in the kitchen especially at a busier time of year when more hands would be necessary and more impactful.

I had a great time volunteering and will definitely return to do it again. All the ladies were very nice! Thanks for having me!
