I started volunteering Room in the Inn last year when I was in 9th grade. Whether I’m serving lunch or helping with kitchen tasks, I’ve grown to really enjoy the time I spend there. The staff are always kind and welcoming, and they make the whole experience feel positive and supportive. Being at the shelter has helped me see how small actions like offering a meal or a smile can make a real difference in someone’s day.
I go whenever I have time, It’s an experience I’m truly grateful for. I will continue in the future.
