Heart of Texas 2025 Regatta

This regatta was better organized then the one I volunteered for last year and evident to me that safety was at the top of the list. Improvements that I noticed are listed below.
1) Signage clear and visible
2) Communication from coordinators was fantastic (i.e. Jim Ruddy and Tammy Foy) who made sure I understood and was comfortable with my duties and how to contact them if I needed a referee.
3)Water edge cleared of brush which allowed folks to view the race from the waters edge rather than come onto the dock to cheer their team.
4) Only those essential folks needing to assist their boats recovery were on the dock. Last year it was anybody and everybody which made it very unsafe no matter how hard I tried to keep non essential folks off the dock.
5) Recovery Dock seemed sturdier...last year toward the end of the last day the dock was becoming unstable and felt like it was about to come apart.

Thanks everyone for all your hard work and dedication to this great club!
