Shelter Assistant

I served as a kennel assistant, adoption ambassador, and I read to pets during my time at the shelter. I loved getting to interact with potential adopters while acting as an ambassador by answering any questions they had and also getting to interact with the pets while reading to them. It was nice to be able to get the animals out of their cages for some interaction, and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did!

I worked as a kennel assistant for 2 hours and then I read to adult cats for 3! I had so much fun, and by the end of the day I felt very connected to the cats. I'm glad I was able to make the shelter a cleaner home for the animals as a kennel assistant, and I hope the cats enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed theirs!
