Thanks for letting my wife and I volunteer. We were moved over to the medical access for crowd control keeping that access clear and opening the gate. The athletes were so kind and respectful, but their support teams in some limited cases were not. One older man pushed his way through into the chute after being told twice he could not enter. One suggestion on the fences that kept being moved for exits or access to the chute is putting garbage cans where two panels are joined together. Once I did that, it stopped being a problem at those push points. I also think one large zip tie would also work. Thanks so much for the lunch after the shift. It was nice to take it and sit and enjoy the scene afterwards.
The interaction with marathon participants makes this very worth while. Also, meeting other volunteers is fun. You can never have enough friends :)
