Scholarship Session #4 - Tuesday

Excellent experience to get know each other , learned about code switching and imposter syndrome which is something I never heard about till today.

It was right on time! I had just been discussing imposter syndrome with my peers, and this session showed me that a lot of people deal with it and it shows up in different ways. I appreciated how the session gave a definite answer of how to combat imposter syndrome, which is to gather evidence of your accomplishments. I will definitely be doing that!!!

It was great having a speaker the went in depth about the culture surrounding code switching. And how to harness it without compromising ourselves. I also enjoyed the segment on imposter syndrome, hearing the phrases we tell ourselves out loud, invalidates the thoughts we may tell ourselves in our heads.
