I enjoyed learning about volunteer opportunities in the NWA area. I am especially interested in possibly volunteering the the Botanical Garden butterfly garden.
Learned about some great opportunities to volunteer with local organizations focusing on sustainability. Kudos to Claire on her first successful FYI!
Was a great way to get information on volunteer opportunities!
I learned a lot of information in this short zoom meeting. Apple seeds was one of the farms that has a ton of opportunities to get involved with their organization. We could go and harvest food and pack produce for food donations. I think it was cool that they were looking for people who speak Spanish to translate their recipes. The botanical garden seem super cool to get involved in. They offer field-trips for kids. They also offer little sprouts which is a story time and activity for preschoolers and their parents.
It was very interesting learning of all the volunteer opportunities that were offered through these three organizations. I found it very educational as I didn't know of all the opportunities that were available. i believe I will be helping out with the botanical gardens in the near future.
I got to learn more about community service opportunities in the NWA area in order to find my impact!
This zoom talked about Beautiful Lives Boutique as well as Appleseed’s kid’s harvesting program. The kids will want to cook what they make in the classrooms at home. The schools and students that they go to target the schools that may not have as much access to healthy nutrition. They also have virtual programs with educational videos. They also do produce donations to not waste the food being harvested, they harvest stuff from the garden and backpack it. Next Brooke from the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks talked. They are dedicated to educational and environmental awareness.
I attended the Find Your Impact Zoom meeting! It was very informative. We heard from Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks, Apple Seeds NWA, and Beautiful Lives Boutique, and they all had great presentations. There was a lot of interesting information about field trips, volunteer opportunities, and how we can get involved with them. I thought the Butterfly exhibit talked about by the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks was very interesting and something I might want to volunteer at!
