I helped out at the triage, taking vitals for RNs and helping patients find their rooms.
I helped out in the Neuro ICU unit with a patient named Ann. I made sure she left her IV alone, chatted with the family, helped her eat, made her feel comfortable, etc.
I drove out to Washington Regional Medical Center to get a photo taken for a promotional campaign. However, I was unable to do so due to the fact that the time was changed.
I volunteered in the emergency room at Washington Regional Medical Center. I was initially nervous, but I soon became comfortable as I got to interact with many different people. I learned how to take somebody's temperature and blood pressure and record their vitals. I can't wait to continue to volunteer here.
