LAUNCH - Special Scholarships Program New Student Orientation

At first, I was a bit nervous because I did not really know what to expect. Overall, the experience was great because I truly felt welcomed by the staff members. I learned a lot of important information involving the requirements to this scholarship, and I know it will take a lot of dedication and hard work. Throughout these two hours I took notes on the important information and made note of important dates that was given to us through the presentation. I really appreciate the time and effort that was put into this event, because it provides the new upcoming students' knowledge on what to expect at PGCC.

This event was very informative and gave me a lot of information I didn't know about the scholarship program and pgcc. I enjoyed interacting with one of the DMSI coordinators as well.

During this orientation I learned more about the Promise Scholarship program and the benefits of being in this program. Also in this orientation there were pop questions for us to answer and if we answered correct we won a prize.

In the service there was an ice breaker. I really enjoyed how the administrators made the room comfortable and engaging with simple activities. I felt motivated and willing to join groups and programs to get started. I understand and took advice from previous students in the program and feel I needed because I can relate and understand. I am aware of the program, requirements, and support. I am more than excited to begin the new school year.
