June Clean Lady Bird Lake

I loved it! My friends and I kayak on Lady Bird Lake often and it has been a source of great joy, especially during the pandemic - it felt great to spend my paddling time picking up plastic trash, knowing each of those pieces will never make it into a bird's stomach, never end up on a beach, and will enhance another paddler's experience on the lake. Jonatan, John, and Matt were fantastic! All the kayaks and supplies were ready to go down at the lagoon, and they even helped launch us off. I'd be happy doing this once a month if possible!

It felt so good going out and beautifuly town Lake! Others in our group did a great job picking up larger, bulkier items. However, my partner and I focused on the tiny plastic bits and cellophane which felt so good! The couple who led our group were also very sweet, helpful, and informative!
