It was very nice to volunteer there, I I’ll be back. Thank you to all that showed me around and allowed me to be so involved.
I helped with a lot in the clothing section of the thrift store. First I went through every item that they have and took all of the ones with orange tags off the rack as they told me. The second thing I did was tagging new clothing that had just come in with prices and hanging them up according to there sizes. The staff were great and very helpful to any and all questions I had!
My friend and I were instructed to organize the bookshelf in the thrift store. We separated the books into categories, such as nonfiction, fiction, lifestyle suspense, romance, etc, and we also separated the hardcover from the softcover. I interacted with some of the thrift store customers as I was organizing, which made these service hours more personal to my community in Fayetteville. I loved being able to help a local thrift store, which helps the Northwest Arkansas Women's Shelter.
It was fun to organize and resort clothes while remembering what cause the thrift store donations were going to. It also made me happy to see how many people donated clothes to the women's shelter for pure purposes and there was a big drive of each woman who worked there.
Thank you very much for letting me volunteer in your facility. I enjoy my time there.
